As of June 24, 2009, there were 267,508 physical site records in NJEMS. The NJEMSSITE layer contains 165,551 of these, which leaves 101,957 sites that are not represented. Complicating matters is that new program site records are still being added to NJEMS, increasing the universe of sites. Often these need to be fixed due to coordinate entry errors. Plans are to GPS sites when possible, and also research site addresses that were not matched. NJDEP permitting staff also entered coordinate data for sites without already existing GPS coordinate values. Address-matched coordinates were generated for sites without coordinates in July and September 2004, using TIGER and GDT roads.
